It appears that there was a feature article on Harold Jaffe recently at the San Diego Tribune website. Here’s an excerpt:
“As a writer, he’s a provocateur. Jaffe holds up a dark mirror to American society and what he sees is its fixation with crime, violence and sex. In his latest novel, “Jesus Coyote,” he revisits the Charles Manson saga in the form of “docufiction.” It’s written as if members of Manson’s “family” and law enforcement officers were each offering first-person narratives (much like transcripts of interviews) that convey his story from many perspectives.”
