Here’s a quote from Jaffe for new writers interested in social activism:

‘And the advice I’d offer is to learn as much about the world as you can, keep your courage up, and try to recognize that the “returns” are going to be wildly incommensurate with your effort.’

I think that applies to publishing as well!
