When Jeremy Shipp sent me the link to this recent interview he said he was particularly proud of it. I just got a chance to read it and I agree that it’s one of his most interesting interviews.
Here’s a section I really liked:
"The stories we Bizarros create tend to be absurd and surreal and strange, and our differences in style and content connect us just as much as our similarities. One of our commonalities is the tendency for Bizarro fiction to be equally entertaining and thought-provoking. That’s what I strive for, as far as my own fiction is concerned. I want to touch hearts and minds, but I don’t want to preach or pull teeth. I want my readers to enjoy themselves in the beautiful, horrible worlds I create for them."
