We had to take Atlanta in to the emergency vet on Wednesday night because she seemed to be in pain. They couldn’t really say what was wrong with her but apparently she’d eaten a whole bunch of leaves and other things outside and her stomach was really full.
Unrelated to that we got a call yesterday from the eye doctor who did the surgery to remove her eye. The results from the pathology report were that she had a malignant tumor in her eye. Although she had seemed better during the day she didn’t make it through the night.
She was a really sweet dog and we’ll miss her.

It was kind of sudden even though we were somewhat prepared. I'm glad that at least she didn't suffer through a long illness.

Thanks, I wish we could have done more for her but I'm glad she wasn't sick for a long time.
Sorry to hear about the loss of Atlanta. They become very much a part of the family and to lose such a loyal friend is always painful. My sympathies to you all.
