Mike Arnzen’s eye-opening article, “What Corrupted Me” is now up on ReallyScary.com. It amazes me that Mike’s non-fiction is just as fascinating as his fiction. For example his essays in The Goreletter are filled with disgusting tangents and sick images but his point is always well argued and unique. He’s put a lot of thought into the horror genre and why it is so fascinating to some of us. In fact, sometimes he makes it sound downright respectable! But the main thing is no matter what the subject, from beef jerky to mermaids, he makes it entertaining.
I’m still hoping that we will have a joint art exhibit & reading with Arnzen and Matt Sesow, the cover artist for 100 Jolts at Gallery Neptune. We talked to Elyse a bit about it on Saturday and she seemed even more interested so I’m crossing my fingers.
