Preliminary Stoker Ballot

Congrats to Jeremy Shipp whose novel, Vacation, has made it onto the preliminary ballot for the Bram Stoker award in he category of first novel. Jeremy’s book has caused such a stir from so many different quarters that it’s a bit bewildering. In fact I just got an email from a reviewer who was very impressed and did an excellent, in-depth review: http://www.cclapcenter.com/2008/01/book_review_vacation_by_jeremy.html

I was also glad to see that Mike Arnzen made it onto the ballot with his collection Proverbs for Monsters. Even though we didn’t put it out it’s an excellent collection.
