Raw Dog Screaming Press Launches Audio Line

Raw Dog Screaming Press is now working with Findaway Voices to produce and distribute audiobook editions of many of their books. The first title, Hounds of the Underworld by Dan Rabarts & Lee Murray, has just been released. The book has dueling siblings so required two narrators. Dan Rabarts reads the part of Matiu which he wrote, while Susan Holt voices Penny (written by Lee Murray). “The nature of the book, alternating chapters from a brother and sister perspective, made it ideal for audio,” says Managing Editor Jennifer Barnes. “Dan and Susan really brought the characters, and their sibling rivalry to life with their performances.”

We worked with a very talented narrator named Dan Lawson to capture the nostalgia of Wasps in the Ice Cream. He did a fantastic job of portraying the bored teen protagonist and his annoying friends. It was exciting to listen to the story unravel again as he brought each scene to life.

Girls From the County by Donna Lynch • JUNE 1

The audiobook edition of Donna Lynch’s Bram Stoker Award nominated poetry collection, Girls From the County, is coming June 1. This atmospheric interpretation of the book includes background soundscapes from musician Steven Archer (Stoneburner, Ego Likeness).
