2024 was a productive year for Raw Dog Screaming Press. We expanded our novella series by 5 installments, finished up the Steel Empires series, released two novels, an anthology, a short story collection, two poetry collections, a graphic novel and a paperback edition of a hardcover-only release. We also completed recording for 3 audiobooks. We've signed a deal with poet Colleen Anderson to release her Rapunzel-themed collection, Vellum Leanves and Lettered Skins in 2025. This lush garden of poems has been seeded in a fairytale realm but has grown in many directions. Today we’re revealing the cover for Demo Reels and Arthouse Madness the poetry collection from Vince A. Liaguno. This is a heavily themed collection so we wanted to choose an artist in line with those themes and one who could bring Liaguno’s vision to life. Although we haven’t worked with Scott Cole before he seemed like the perfect choice. As Liaguno puts it, “Sometimes you cross paths with someone, creatively, and it’s pure kismet. That’s how it felt working with Scott. We're excited to announce that there will be several new formats for this year's Bram Stoker-winning poetry collection by Stephanie M. Wytovich. An audiobook edition will be coming soon, as well as paperback and ebook formats. This collection was a big departure in style for Wytovich we originally decided a hardcover-only release with illustrations was the best way to present the book. However, the book's popularity continues to grow and later this month a poem from the collection will be featured in Washington Post book critic Ron Charles' Book Club newsletter. Due to all this interest we wanted to make sure that more affordable editions of the book are available. However, the hardcover will remain the only edition with illustrations.
