Book Deal: QUEER BIRDS
We’re excited to announce that we’ve signed a deal to release Holly Lyn Walrath’s next poetry collection, QUEER BIRDS, in 2027. It’s a broody mix of nostalgia, ennui, and confession that has the call of hard-wrung authenticity. “This collection is a bit of a departure for RDSP,” says managing editor Jennifer Barnes. “It’s not strictly horror but there is darkness here and it has undeniable final girl energy of survival that we just couldn’t pass on.”
From the first poem in the collection:
I can’t tell you how it was, not really,
I can only invent this story
of what it meant to grow up
with our wings clipped.
