  • Bizarro God Babies!

Unlikely Stories recently interviewed psycho-analyzed Tom Bradley. That man has got all the right things wrong with him! Take for instance: “That is the true miracle and transformative revelation of Bizarro: its alchemical wedding of trash and serious literature, its transmutation of base pulp metal into literary gold–which I trust will be lining all our…

  • Asimov’s

And Your Point Is? got a cool mention in ASIMOV’s: “Anything connected with the enigmatic and perilous SF writer named Jeff Lint (see Steve Aylett’s Lint [2005] for a biographical map of the crime scene) is subject to ambiguity. But I think that I can safely report this much: with And Your Point Is?, Steve…

  • Spent most of last night putting together packages and this morning too. Luna Maris is now available and selling like hotcakes. I can barely keep up! took a bunch to sell on tour and after only a few dates are almost out of them. Is there any wonder with artwork like this? Plus we’ve got…

  • Worse Than Myself

Another title for 2008: Adam Golaski spins shadowy, weird tales in the original sense of the word: uncanny, unearthly, sometimes fantastic and always slightly off-center. These are stories to be savored late at night in bed, read by the light of a single lamp in an empty, dark house. In other news, I made a…

  • Bizarro’s Got Legs

Tom Bradley (Lemur author) has a very entertaining review of fellow bizarro author Jordan Krall’s Piecemeal June in the new issue of The Dream People. Here’s just one of his nuggets of wisdom: “…we will close Piecemeal June unable to forget what has been done to our heads. Shakespeare goofed. Krall has discover’d that country,…

  • Issue 29 of The Dream People is now online! You’ll find weird fiction from Cameron Pierce, Kevin Sweeney, kek-w & Brandi Wells plus novel excerpts from Kevin Donihe’s House of Houses and Tom Bradley’s Lemur. There’s also reviews for two RDSP titles: Vacation & Discouraging at Best, not to mention a really twisted review of…

  • I’ve got the pics up from HorrorFind now. It really was a blast. The new convention center is great and having it so close to home made it a lot easier for us. I was worried about the crowd since it was in a new place and though it was smaller than the usual August…

  • HorrorFind March was too much fun! We’re already starting to make big plans for HorrorFind in August. I’ll hvae the con report and damning pics up soon but for now I give you this video gem wherein Ron Malfi assaults the fans at his reading.

  • Romania

This week I was able to put a couple of D. Harlan Wilson’s books in the mail to a publishing company in Romania that might be interested in doing translations of them. I hope they decide to do at least one. It would be awesome to see a Romanian translation of one of our books.

  • I just discovered that Ron Malfi will be doing a reading at HorrorFind on Friday from 9-10. I’m already planning ways to heckle him. Won’t you join me? One thing I don’t recommend is challenging him to arm wrestle. You can’t win!

  • HorrorFind

We’re getting ready for HorrorFind this weekend. I’m really looking forward to it and interested to see how the new venue works out. I hope some of you get the chance to come out and say hi.

  • Lemur Blurb

sent a very cool blurb for Lemur today: “LEMUR is one of the flat-out strangest (in a good way) books I’ve had the pleasure of reading in ages. Also one of the funniest. There’s very little normalcy to be found in Tom Bradley’s demented tale, but more entertainment value than most books twice its length!”…

  • Imaginary Books

Can’t remember if I mentioned it before but we will be launching a line of children’s titles called Imaginary Books. The first release will be Luna Maris by Steven Archer (ego_likeness). Here’s a little promo vid for the book.

  • The Nab Gets Posthumously Bizarroized This is a great bizarro rant written by Tom Bradley about self-referential mania and bizarro. I love reading stuff like this that is truly creative and combines history, fiction and modern literary commentary in a fun way.

  • We’re also running pre-order discount for Lemur the same as Jesus Coyote. It’s $2 off the paperback and $5 off the hardcover. Order copies here http://www.rawdogscreaming.com/lemur.html

You can order here:http://www.rawdogscreaming.com/jesus.html Building on the mayhem created by the controversial but critically acclaimed collection 15 Serial Killers Jaffe’s Jesus Coyote goes one step further. • SheVaCon

I’m still catching up with things after SheVaCon. One thing is that I was able to do an interview with D. Harlan Wilson during the con which I’ve edited together and posted on YouTube. I’m really happy with the way it turned out since I don’t have much experience filming video or editing. I hope…

  • Steampunk Magazine

There’s a new issue of Steampunk Magazine available. You can download it for free here or, if you’re really cool, you’ll purchase a hardcopy. This issue has a fabulous interview with but the thing I love about it is that it is so well laid out. I am allergic to zines with horrible layout!

  • 10 Commandments

jlundberg posted a list of 10 rules that German publisher and author Michael Kruger came up with for Independent Publishing. I decided to come up with my own rules: 10 Rules of Independent Publishing 1. Only publish works you love 2. Do not expect to make a living publishing 3. Do as much as you…

  • We will be heading to Roanoke, VA for SheVaCon this weekend. It will be good to see D. Harlan again and hang out. We’ll have a table in the dealer’s room and John and D. Harlan are on a bunch of panels. I’ve never been to SheVaCon before but John said last year that the…

  • Sailor Suits and Giant Lollipops

“Back when I was a schoolboy—wearing sailor suits and eating giant lollipops—I thought the publishing world was a magical place, where writers, readers, publishers, editors, and all the rest danced together in the Mystical Forest of Literary Ecstasy.”—Jeremy Shipp Jodi Lee’s recent interview with Jeremy for Apex Digest is pretty entertaining: http://www.apexdigest.com/Online/interview080201.shtml She also had…

  • Shirley Jackson Award

Anybody got the inside scoop on this: http://www.shirleyjacksonawards.org/ It would seem to be in direct competition with the Stoker awards. I’ve got my theories but I’m just curious where this came from and whose idea it was. I guess it’s good to have another place to submit our books, so far we haven’t been too…

  • Steve Aylett’s LINT is in the final top 10 of World Book Day’s ‘Spread the Word’ competition. The winner will be chosen by vote so if you want to support LINT (and who wouldn’t) cast your vote: http://www.worldbookday.com/spreadtheword/books/book-detail-top-ten.asp?BookID=70
