Like all new technology, it is copyrighted. Nobody knows how Corpus Chrome, Inc. determines which individuals should be given a second life, yet myriad people are affected. Among them are Lisanne Breutschen, the composer who invented sequentialism with her twin sister, and Champ Sappline, a garbage man…

Happiness is Contagious

Blog
Experience a Little Happiness The gift-giving season is upon us like a chicken on a junebug and while making lists of what to buy for my family and what they should buy for me I keep thinking about the idea that experiences bring more happiness than things. Scientists have tested this and found it to be true and yet, even though people often realize this, it's hard to put a dollar value on experience and even harder to take that value into account when making financial decisions. That is why I'm excited, first of all, to be organizing a writing retreat because I know it has the potential to effect the happiness of so many people. In this crazy world anything that provides a little hope and happiness is well…

Blog
Bizarro Halloween, 10/25, Terrault Contemporary, 7:30p RDSP is celebrating Halloween with an emphasis on the weird this year. Our Bizarro Halloween event will feature readings along with the launch of Grave Markings: The XXth Anniversary Edition. To make sure we've got plenty of weird we've asked G. Arthur Brown a well-known bizarro and weirdo to take part in the reading. Here's a little more about him: G. Arthur Brown, when not sleeping, writes absurd and irreal Bizarro fiction, especially in restrooms. The influence of Monty Python, Donald Barthelme, Guy Maddin, Kelly Link, Franz Kafka, and the Reagan administration can be seen in much of his work. His first book, Kitten, is available as part of Eraserhead Press's 2012 New Bizarro Author Series. His stories appear in the Bizarro Bizarro anthology…
